Oregon Department of Aviation staff work closely with proponents and airport sponsors to review site approval applications for new airports/heliports, as well as to license/register existing Oregon airports. This program involves a focused coordination of the various necessary approvals (at the federal, state and local levels), as well as coordination of intergovernmental roles and processes.
Airport licensing issues are addressed in ORS Chapter 836 and OAR 738-020.
