Oregon Department of Aviation began hosting events that we call "Aviation Town Hall Meetings" in various communities across Oregon back in 2000. This effective program has continued ever since that time, with a goal of four Aviation Town Halls per year.
The Aviation Town Hall outreach program works well to meet two important goals: (1) to inform local governments, residents and aviation system users about the products and services provided by the Department, and (2) to provide an easily accessible opportunity for agency management and staff to hear first-hand from Oregonians - in the communities where they live and where they fly - about their questions, their ideas, their concerns.
Since feedback about the Aviation Town Hall Meetings is so consistently positive from our public, plans are underway to hold meetings in the following communities during 2003.
